Firefighters Respond to Late-Night Fire South of Midland

MIDLAND, TEXAS – Firefighters with the Midland Fire Department (MFD) responded to a structure fire late Saturday night in the 3600 block of East County Road 171, south of Midland.
According to MFD officials, crews were dispatched at 11:13 p.m. on March 15 to find multiple vehicles engulfed in flames. The fire involved four recreational vehicles (RVs) and a car, causing significant property damage. Firefighters worked quickly to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby structures.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all individuals in the vicinity were accounted for, officials confirmed.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and authorities have not yet determined whether it was accidental or intentional. Residents in the area reported seeing heavy smoke and flames as emergency responders arrived on the scene.
Fire officials urge residents to remain vigilant and take precautions to prevent similar incidents. The Midland Fire Marshal’s Office is expected to release further details following an official investigation.
