EZ-RIDER USE IN MIDLAND JUMPS IN JULY

MIDLAND, TEXAS -- EZ-Rider fixed-route ridership was up by nearly 48% in July (compared to July 2023), according to the Midland-Odessa Urban Transit District.
The MOUTD reported that fixed-route public transportation use in Midland reached 2024 highs in July with 12,818 riders. That number is more than 1,300 greater than the total in May and more than 4,000 more than July 2023.
Also, the MOUTD reported fixed-route ridership in Midland is up 18.4% compared to Odessa and paratransit ridership in 12.7% year-over-year in Midland.
EZ-Rider is the bus system in both Midland and Odessa. The Midland-Odessa Urban Transit District operates the system. The City of Midland helps fund EZ-Rider operations.
